We're jumping on the bandwagon

Hi! Thanks to Julie, our family can now post on the Westover Family blog. We are living in Utah and loving it. We have discovered a "lake" about five minutes from our house where the kids can swim. In the same area are various hiking trails that lead to look outs over Utah Lake.

Paul is enjoying his teaching at BYU and loves his students--they actually want to learn.

Katee is staying busy with the kids and running errands. Just recently we signed the two oldest up for Karate. They are so excited about it! She also took a job with a colleague of Paul's to write up summaries of 18th century novels. She loves it, at least for the moment.

Madelyn (almost 7) has been having fun making new friends and riding bikes out in the front yard. She will be in the second grade and is registering for school tomorrow!!! She loves horses and books.

Isaac (4) loves to play with Madelyn and ride his bike too. He likes to play with babies, especially Keatyn, his cousin. He likes to smile and is a sweetheart.

Thomas (2) is our handful. Just today I had to save him from cutting himself with a knife. He pushed the stool over to the counter to get the knives out of the knife block. Note to self: move the knives. He is also our clown. He loves to make people laugh.

We update our personal blog ever so often. It will be updated really soon so check it out!

The Rees' Pieces

Here is a quick update on the Rees'. Joseph is still the bomb diggity computer guru at Mediconnect and works WAY too many hours at it. Jocelyn is a SAHM, but feels like she is always on the go. Cadence (Cadey) loved going to school, but has decided that summer is better, because we swim a lot more. She loves Strawberry Shortcake, playing any computer/video game, and singing at the top of her tiny but loud lungs. Mary still changes her outfits several times a day. She doesn't like Strawberry Shortcake, but does like the outfits that Strawberry wears. She also loves to dance and put on make-up. Ava Jean is now 18 months old. We are very pleased that she now weighs 21 lbs. That means that it is finally legal to sit forward facing in her car seat. We have no idea what she likes most minutes of our day. Obviously in this picture, she didn't like being held. She wanted to throw rocks over the very steep cliff behind us up at Snowbird. Too bad for her!!
Julie, this idea rocks! We have nominated you for Queen for the Day!

So here is my first attempt at blogging. I think that this is a great way for all of our family to keep in touch. There are so many cousins that I haven't seen in so long, so I am really hoping that everyone will continue to post anything and everything.

Alrighty......so I have attached a few pictures.......so let me introduce you to the people that are in them. Aaron and I have been dating now for close to a year (1 year in August) and we just went ring shopping on Saturday. Yeah!!!! He is an electrician with Guarantee Electric, and is the head of maintenance at Vallero Refinery in Benicia. He is 33 and yes, that is a handlebar mustache. He is an amazing man and a wonderful father. Which brings me to the other photos of Kaelin, his 12 year-old daughter and Tyler his 7 year-old son. They are really great kids and a lot of fun to be around. Aaron and I are not engaged yet, so no wedding plans as of yet, but hopefully in the near future. I will let you know all of the mushy details when it happens.

Oh yes, and how can I forget, Phoebe. Phoebe is now 6 years old and still kicking. I love her to death, snorting, snoring, sneezing and all.

We're coming home!

Well it's just about that time. Kelly finished her last semester at BYU-Idaho today and I finish tomorrow. It's hard to believe that we won't be coming back to Rexburg next semester. For the next three days we will be packing up our entire apartment and loading it into a Uhaul. After that, we have that wonderful 14 hour drive ahead of us. It's okay though, at least the majority of the drive is through beautiful scenic Nevada (it's hard to write sarcasm). When we get back to California, Kelly will start up at Clorox again and I'll be working there too if there is an opening for me. If there isn't an opening then I have to job hunt...yeah. While we're home I have to complete a couple of Organic Chemistry classes and then I'll be off to Life Chiropractic College West, in Hayward. At which time Kelly will officially become my "Sugar Mama". We're excited to enter this next chapter in our lives and even more excited not to have to live in snow ever again.

Hey its Julie!!

Hey family I was able to go to the park earlier this evening and I took a picture of Jonathan and his children. So I thought I would introduce you. Do not be afraid when you see that Jonathan is over the children, that really was the only way we could keep them in place!

Jacb 6, Nathan 4, and Mary 5.

Hello Blogees From Nate-lyn & Ethan...

(Ethan's Blessing Day-12 days old)
We TOO think this Family Blog is an excellent idea. Way to go Julie! :) I guess we'll follow the trend & give a brief update on our lives-

*Nathan is currently attending BYUI w/ a major of Mechanical Engineer. He enjoys it thoroughly and is most excited to just get started. He just recently "upgraded" his 88' 4runner to a nice 94' and loves it!

*Katelyn is also attending BYUI and planning on graduating in December with an AS in Generals. She is taking her classes online till then so she can be a stay @ home Mom.

*Ethan Jay was born May 27th and is growing like crazy. He has already gained over 4 lbs in the 7 weeks he has been here. Can you say chunk?! He smiles and talks and loves to be cuddled. We couldn't be happier, He is such a Stud. :)

Hope everyone takes the time to update us all on how you're doing. We'd love to know. :)

Just waiting...for Ethan to make his arrival!

Hello from Chad & Amber!

Hello everyone! We really like this family blog idea as well, getting all of the updates in one place instead of bits and pieces from everyone else. Here's what's going on with us:

- We just moved to Orem, UT and our current address is 1204 West 600 South, Orem, UT 84058 and we LOVE that we finally have air conditioning this summer

- Chad is still going to BYU through April, at which time we'll be moving to California for him to go to Chiropractic school

- Amber graduated in April from BYU and is currently a stay at home mom and loves it

- Rylee Westover was born on May 31st and is so much fun to have around, she's so cute!

- We're blessing Rylee tomorrow (July 13th). If anyone wants to come e-mail me at handsomeamber@gmail.com and I'll give you directions

We also have our own blog and to view it you need to be logged into this blog to go to it, or you can e-mail me and I'll add you to it. We're excited to see this blog grow!
